S25 Week 7 Update
With Benbo’s Dark Eldar on vacation, Neil Braden’s Space Wolves must wait to see if he can step ahead of Tre O'Rourke and his World Eaters lead in Pod 1. With 75% of games played in the Pod (it’s really just Benbo dragging his feet), this pod is almost resolved. If Neil beats Benbo, he wins. If Neil loses against Benbo with high enough points, he wins. The Wolves of Fenris have several roads to victory while Angeron has but one~ Neil has to loose and loose hard.
Randy Robinson’s Space Wolves still dominate Pod 2 with Adam Funk’s Adepta Sororitas watching vigil. If Adam can get in two more wins, he’ll take the Pod. One of those scheduled games is against Marc Torres’ T'au. Marc is currently 4th in the Pod but with zero losses to his name, he has a shot (a railgun shot) at taking the top spot also. The clock is ticking for both these punters with only two weeks to go so they need lock and load.
Pod 3 has been an absolute bloodbath this season with the top three in the Pod each holding a 3/2 record and only 20 points separating Evan Berry’s Black Templars, Coop Guice's Tyranids, and Victor Campos’ Blood Angels. Jason Cleveland’s Grey Knights have a 3/1 record and so he could get in the mix if he could thow up a high scoring win but his time is running short. If he can put up a win, he’ll be able to teleport into the top spot with a 4/2 record. Timothy Sweet's Blood Angels continue to own Pod 4 with Mike Mental’s Death Guard casting a pall over the scene in second place. With so many games left to play in the Pod, almost anyone could step into the top spot and it’s probably going to be whether people can get their games in in time that will govern standings at this point.
Alex Ivanov’s T'au are holding back the sorcerers in Pod 5 with Stephen Caliendo’s and Paul Kandal’s Thousand Sons hovering nearby. If Stepehen puts up some wins (Paul needs two) he’ll move into first place. Tim Gorodnitski’s T'au and Mike Russell’s Asuryani could make a play for the top spot, neither has a loss on their records, but I am guessing they don’t have the time. In Pod 6, Paul Gyori’s Blood Angels hold the top spot with one game left to play. If he can get on one more win he has pretty much locked down the pod. Andres Contreras’s Tyranids are in second spot with all his games played, so that’s a high as his tendrils will get. A number of other punters could make a play for the top spot (or atleast the green zone) but they're going to have to move fast.
Sorry, I have been out of the loop for a while and I appreciate Coop Guice updating the scores lately. I have been exploring a rarely visited region of space (for me) called The Vacation Nexus.
