Season 28: Week 3: Wearing their gas masks

Welcome to week three of the league. Sorry this missive is a little late, I have been swamped with work. There seems to be a lot going on despite it being the holidays and all y’all have been getting in a lot of games. Good times.

The might of Jeremy Larson’s Imperial Guard have driven the heretics from the top of Pod 1. I hope his guys are wearing their gas masks because they must be able to smell Hans Lieber’s Death Guard as they’re only 11 points behind in second place. A couple of interesting things to note going on here. First, almost everyone in the Pod has gotten a game in which has driven Pod 1 to a 40% completion rate really early in the season. Second, there are only three left in the Pod (the two front runners included) who don’t have a loss on their records which creates a pretty interesting showdown for the top spot.

Imperial Guard also hold the top of Pod 2 lead by Tony Baumayr this time with three sold wins and no losses. Kory Marlatt’s Ultramarines are in the second spot and Juan Diego Vasquez’ Space Wolves in the third. Kory has a loss on his record which opens the door for Juan (who doesn’t) to challenge Tony at the top of the Pod. Michael Pogrebinsky’s T'au and David Susko’s Adeptus Mechanicus each hold a 1 and 1 record at the top of Pod 3 with only three points separating them. That makes it a tie in my book and opens the door for others (like James Carmona’s Heretic Astartes and Jeremy Salgado’s Adeptus Custodes) without a loss to step ahead.

Michael Ernst’s Blood Angels have landed atop Pod 4 with two wins and a loss. Emanuele Saccarelli’s Votann is in the second spot with a win and a loss. All these losses open the door for Marc Torres’ T'au and Dustin Lindgren’s Black Templars to blast their way into the top spot~ they both have unbeaten records. Eric Horne’s Adeptus Custodes have raised their standard atop the heap that is our monster Pod 5. There are a good number of games still to be played here so get them dice roll’n lads.

Remember, that as new rules drop and become publicly available they are live for the league. That means the dataslate is live right now and the new detachments dropping daily will change the league all through the month. Also, stay tuned for the new store hours that should go live at the start of the month (or sooner). We’re also working to get the terrain sets ready to go too so you won’t have to bring your own (unless you want to).

And most of all remember, vengeance is in my heart, death in my hand, Blood and revenge are hammering in my head.
