Season 30: Welcome to the Big League

Welcome! Enter freely and of your own free will! You have arrived at the San Diego Big League Season 30. There have been a lot of changes over the last season and this little post should give you guidance if you’re new or a refresher if you’re returning.

The first thing to say is that all of the details can be found on our website: [https://sd40k.com/league-format](https://sd40k.com/league-format) . If you’re new, the please make sure you’re connected to the league spreadsheet https://tinyurl.com/ytvsvcy9 and our Discord https://discord.gg/mufXWckJ. On the spreadsheet, find your pod on the tabs (new folks will be in Pod 7). When you read across the pod sheet, you’ll see who you’re paired against and which Pariah Nexus mission you’re playing against that player. On the Discord, you should find your Pod chat and schedule your games. You can schedule games in any order and at any time (and any place) you’d like. Once your game is complete use the Discord to report your games using the following format “!score <Pod number> <player 1> <score> sv <player 2> <score>”. Coop Guice and I will update the spreadsheet and you can track your progress.

A few notes about playing. First, we are pretty lax on tournament specific standard in the lower pods. This is a gentleman’s game so please be a good sport. Once you get to Pod 3, we consider this tournament level play so, beyond minor weapon swaps, you should consider yourself playing at an event. Second, the store is here to support the league but you don’t have to play at the store. If at the store, you can check out the league terrain sets and terrain templates as sets at the counter. They’re exclusively for our league and should be kept as complete sets. Please be careful putting away terrain and let me know if anything breaks. This week, you’ll receive a subscription notice to the store’s Patreon. Your first month, April, is included in your fee you paid when you signed up for the league. You will have to keep your subscription current through May to complete the league. Please know that you have to complete your games in order to be eligible for prize support. Third, please remember that as soon as a new rule set (data slate, mission pack, or codex) is available for sale or download, it is live for our league! Finally, I will be posting my weekly updates and updating the website as best I can to keep you all in the loop with all the exciting stuff going on in our league.

Good luck and please reach out if you have questions. And remember, I sometimes think we must be all mad and that we shall wake to sanity in strait-waistcoats.
